Homer Wesley Fox, Sr., age 70, former Vermillion County treasurer and deputy auditor, died at 6:30 a. m. Wednesday, May 15, at his residence, west of Perrysville. He had been in ill health for the past year. Mr. Fox was born Aug. 17, 1886 in Highland Township, Vermillion County, Ind., the son of Wesley A. and Susie Richardson Fox. He was married April 22, 1908 to Minnie Brewer, who survives. He had served as the Vermillion County treasurer for four years and as deputy auditor for eight years. He was a member of Unity Lodge No. 344, F. & A. M., of Perrysville and a Past Master. He also had served as secretary of the lodge for many years and was currently serving in that capacity. He was a member of the Masonic Chapter and Council of Danville, Ill., and was formerly a member of the Covington Chapter and Council. At the time of his death Mr. Fox was serving as president of the Vermillion County Hospital Board. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: one son, Homer W. Jr., of Des Moines, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Ruth) Stine of Danville, Ill.; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Harry Martin of Attica. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Hopewell Baptist Church. The Rev. Grover Williams will officiate and burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery. The body will remain at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, where friends may call, until one hour before the service. Masonic rites will be conducted at the graveside by Unity Lodge 344.  --typed by Walt W
